CHECK CURRENT DATA.

1) Drive (accelerate or decelerate) the vehicle at 80 km/h (50 MPH) or less.

NOTE:

Drive the vehicle so that duty output of the intake oil flow control solenoid valve increases.

2) Measure the AVCS system operating angle and intake oil flow control solenoid valve duty output using Subaru Select Monitor or general scan tool.

Yes No

Check the following item and repair or replace if necessary.

Oil pipe (clog)

Intake oil flow control solenoid valve (clog or dirt of oil routing, setting of spring)

Intake camshaft (dirt, damage of camshaft)

Timing belt (matching of timing mark)

Perform the following procedures, and clean the oil routing.

Replace the engine oil and idle the engine for 5 minutes, and then replace the oil filter and engine oil.
