1. FRONT DIFFERENTIAL (MT MODEL)
For MT model, differential oil works as manual transmission oil to lubricate differential. 
2. FRONT DIFFERENTIAL (AT MODEL)
1. Drain the differential gear oil by removing oil drain plug using TORX® T70.
CAUTION:
• Before starting work, cool off the differential gear oil well.
• Be careful not to spill the oil on exhaust pipe to prevent it from emitting smoke or causing fires. If oil spilled, wipe it off completely with a clean rag.
2. Replace the gasket with new part, and then tighten the oil drain plug to specified torque.
Tightening torque:
44 N·m (4.5 kgf-m, 32.5 ft-lb) (Aluminum gasket)
70 N·m (7.1 kgf-m, 51.6 ft-lb) (Copper gasket )
70 N·m (7.1 kgf-m, 51.6 ft-lb) (Metal gasket)
3. Fill differential gear oil through the oil level gauge hole up to the upper point of level gauge.
CAUTION:
Each oil manufacturer has its base oil and additives. Thus, do not mix two or more brands.

1. Disconnect the oil temperature switch connector. (model with oil temperature switch)

2. Remove the oil drain plug, and drain the differential gear oil.
3. Remove the filler plug or oil temperature switch for quick draining oil.
NOTE:
Remove the oil temperature switch and the filler plug as a unit.
4. Install the oil drain plug after draining oil.
NOTE:
• Apply liquid gasket to the oil drain plug threads for T-type.
• For VA-type, use a new gasket.
Liquid gasket:
THREE BOND 1105 (Part No. 004403010)
Tightening torque:
T-type
49 N·m (5.0 kgf-m, 36.2 ft-lb)
VA-type
34 N·m (3.5 kgf-m, 25.1 ft-lb)
5. After installing oil drain plug onto rear differential gear case firmly, fill oil up fully to the mouth of filler plug.

6. Install the filler plug or oil temperature switch onto rear differential case firmly.
NOTE:
• Install the oil temperature switch and the filler plug as a unit.
• Apply liquid gasket to the oil drain plug threads for T-type.
• For VA-type, use a new gasket.

THREE BOND 1105 (Part No. 004403010)
Tightening torque:
49 N·m (5.0 kgf-m, 36.1 ft-lb)
7. Install the oil temperature switch connector. (model with oil temperature switch)
