NOTE:
(1) When replacing the body integrated unit
• Prepare the security ID plate.
• for model with immobilizers, prepare the required number of new immobilizer keys (unregistered). (except for model with keyless access)
• When replacing the body integrated unit, check the current settings and record it. 
(2) After replacing the body integrated unit with immobilizer
• Register the immobilizer. For detailed operation procedures, refer to “PC application help for Subaru Select Monitor”.
• Set the current settings according to what was recorded.
1. Disconnect the ground cable from battery.
2. Remove the driver’s side instrument panel lower cover.
3. Disconnect the harness connector of body integrated unit.
CAUTION:
Be careful to keep water and other foreign materials away from body integrated unit.
4. Remove two mounting bolts for body integrated unit bracket, and remove the body integrated unit.
