SECURITY AND LOCKS > Front Outer Handle

REMOVAL

1. MODEL WITHOUT DOUBLE LOCK

1. Raise the front door glass to the top position.

2. Remove the door trim.

3. Remove the sealing cover.

4. Remove the rod clamp.

5. Remove the plug at the rear of the door panel and loosen TORX® bolt (1).

6. Disconnect connectors for model with keyless access.

7. Remove the door outer handle cover.

8. Move the front outer handle towards the rear, and remove the front outer handle.

CAUTION:

Do not apply excessive force to remove the handle from the door panel. The door panel may become deformed.

9. Remove the outer spacer.

10. Loosen the TORX® bolt (2).

11. Remove the frame assembly from inside of the door panel.

2. MODEL WITH DOUBLE LOCK

1. Raise the front door glass to the top position.

2. Remove the door trim.

3. Remove the sealing cover.

4. Remove the bolt (1), and then remove the key cylinder protector (2).

5. Remove the rod clamp.

6. Remove the plug at the rear of the door panel and loosen TORX® bolt (1).

7. Disconnect connectors for model with keyless access.

8. Remove the door outer handle cover.

9. Move the front outer handle towards the rear, and remove the front outer handle.

CAUTION:

Do not apply excessive force to remove the handle from the door panel. The door panel may become deformed.

10. Remove the outer spacer.

11. Loosen the TORX® bolt (2).

12. Remove the frame assembly from inside of the door panel.
