HVAC SYSTEM (HEATER, VENTILATOR AND A/C) > Compressor

REMOVAL

1. GASOLINE ENGINE MODEL

1. Perform compressor oil return operation.

2. Turn the A/C switch to OFF and stop the engine.

3. Using the refrigerant recovery system, drain the refrigerant.

4. Disconnect the ground cable from battery.

5. Remove the V-belts.

6. Remove the generator.

7. Remove the bolt and remove the low-pressure hose and high-pressure hose.

8. Disconnect the compressor connector.

9. Remove the bolts and remove the compressor bracket.

NOTE:

Since the compressor cannot be removed by itself, remove the compressor bracket as a unit.

10. Remove the bolts, then remove the bracket from the compressor.

2. DIESEL ENGINE MODEL

1. Perform compressor oil return operation.

2. Turn the A/C switch to OFF and stop the engine.

3. Using the refrigerant recovery system, drain the refrigerant.

4. Disconnect the ground cable from battery.

5. Remove the collector cover.

6. Disconnect connector (A) and B terminal (B) from generator.

7. Remove the bolts and then remove the collector cover bracket.

8. Remove the V-belts.

9. Remove the bolts and remove the low-pressure hose and high-pressure hose.

10. Disconnect the compressor connector.

11. Remove the compressor.

(1) Loosen the bolt (A).

(2) Remove the bolt (B) and pull out the compressor from generator bracket.
