1. Place the drive select lever in the HI position.
2. Insert a narrow screwdriver into both sides of the knob and push it to remove the cover.

3. Remove the bolts, then remove the knob.
4. Remove the console box. 
5. Loosen the flange nut.
6. Check that the transmission gear is in the HI position. If not in HI, pull the cable and place in the HI position.
7. Make sure that the select lever is in the HI range.
8. With the cable fixed in place, tighten the flange nut.
Tightening torque:
18 N·m (1.8 kgf-m, 13.3 ft-lb)
9. Install in the reverse order of removal.
