1. Secure the fuel pump gear in a vise using the ST.

2. Install the spring.
3. Install the sub gear with the alignment mark facing up.
4. Install the washer.
5. Install the snap ring with the marking facing up.
6. Use the STs to rotate the sub gear counterclockwise until the screw hole on the fuel pump gear is aligned with the sub gear hole (the fuel pump gear and sub gear teeth are meshed), and install the M6 bolt.
CAUTION:
• Use a M6 bolt with a bolt length (except for head) of approx. 10 mm (0.3937 in).
• Tighten the M6 bolt until the bolt seat fully contacts the sub gear.
