FUEL INJECTION (FUEL SYSTEMS)(H4DOTC DIESEL) > Intake Manifold
1. Set the vehicle on a lift.
2. Disconnect the ground cable from battery.
3. Remove the collector cover.
6. Remove the intercooler stay.
7. Remove the air duct hose.
8. Disconnect the vacuum hose from the pipe.
10. Remove the air breather hose from the air intake boot.
11. Remove the air breather hose clip from the stay.
12. Disconnect the air intake boot from the air cleaner case and move aside to the front of the vehicle.
13. Remove the engine harness clip and the intake manifold protector (RH).
14. Remove the engine harness clip and the intake manifold protector (LH).
15. Remove the engine ground terminal from the intake manifold.
16. Disconnect the vacuum hose from the by-pass air pipe.
17. Disconnect the harness connector from the throttle body.
18. Disconnect the engine harness from the air breather pipe.
19. Remove the air breather pipe bolts.
20. Remove the harness connectors from the manifold absolute pressure and intake air temperature sensor, and boost control valve.
21. Remove the engine harness clips.
22. Remove the engine harness clips, and remove the by-pass air pipe from the intake manifold.
23. Lift up the vehicle.
25. Remove the EGR cooler installation nuts.
26. Remove the EGR control valve stud bolts and EGR cooler bolts.
27. Disconnect the harness connector from the EGR control valve.
28. Disconnect the engine coolant hose from the EGR control valve.
29. Remove the intake manifold.
30. Remove the throttle body and EGR control valve.
CAUTION:
• Do not drop or apply any impact to the throttle body or EGR control valve.
• Be careful that no water or oil gets into the connectors.
32. Remove the vacuum hose, vacuum by-pass pipe and boost control valve.
33. Remove the air breather and vacuum hose stays.
