1. VARIABLE VANE DRIVE ACTUATOR
1. Lift up the vehicle.
2. Remove the under cover.
3. Remove the actuator hose from the turbocharger variable vane drive actuator, and connect the Mighty Vac to the variable vane drive actuator.
4. Slowly apply a vacuum pressure of −55 kPa (−0.56 kgf/cm2, −7.97 psi) with the Mighty Vac, and check the link for smooth operation. If not, replace the turbocharger assembly.
CAUTION:
Do not apply a vacuum pressure below −60 kPa (−0.61 kgf/cm2, −8.70 psi) to prevent damaging the variable vane drive actuator.
5. After inspection, install the related parts in the reverse order of removal.
2. TURBO PIPE, OIL HOSE, AND WATER HOSE
• Check for oil leakage from the pipe connections.
• Check for cracks or loose connections.
