REMOVAL

NOTE:

If only a single part is replaced, perform the work with the engine mounted on the vehicle.

1. Disconnect the ground cable from battery.

2. Lift up the vehicle.

3. Remove the under cover.

4. Drain the engine coolant.

5. Drain the engine oil.

6. Remove the turbo protector.

7. Remove the air intake duct and air duct hose.

8. Disconnect the water hose and oil balance hose.

NOTE:

Have a container ready for draining the engine coolant when removing the water hose.

Have a container ready for catching engine oil when removing the oil balance hose.

9. Disconnect the radiator main fan connector and radiator sub fan connector.

10. Disconnect the radiator outlet hose from the radiator.

11. Lower the vehicle.

12. Remove the collector cover.

13. Disconnect the connector and terminal B from the generator, and remove the generator harness and collector cover bracket.

NOTE:

Affix the generator harness and collector cover bracket on the intake manifold side.

14. Remove the air intake duct.

15. Remove the air intake boot.

16. Remove the air intake duct and hose.

17. Remove the radiator sub fan motor assembly.

18. Remove the radiator main fan motor assembly.

19. Remove the radiator.

20. Remove the catalytic converter and DPF.

21. Remove the V-belts.

22. Remove the V-belt tensioner.

23. Remove the crank pulley.

24. Remove the scavenger pump.

25. Remove the vacuum pump.

26. Remove the camshaft position sensor.

27. Remove the oil level gauge and oil level gauge guide from the chain cover.

28. Remove the chain cover.

29. Remove the O-ring of the scavenger pump and vacuum pump from the cylinder head.

NOTE:

The O-ring is positioned between the intake cam sprocket and exhaust cam sprocket.

30. Remove the oil seal from the chain cover.
