MECHANICAL(H4DOTC DIESEL) > Engine Oil Cooler

INSTALLATION

1. Attach the engine oil cooler gasket.

NOTE:

Use a new gasket.

2. Attach the engine oil cooler.

Tightening torque:

19 N·m (1.9 kgf-m, 14.0 ft-lb)

3. Attach the noise cushion on the upper part of the cylinder block.

4. Install the O-ring to the upper part of the cylinder block.

NOTE:

Use new O-rings.

5. Apply liquid gasket to the generator bracket as shown in the figure.

NOTE:

Install within 5 min. after applying liquid gasket.

Liquid gasket:

THREE BOND 1217G (Part No. K0877Y0100) or equivalent

Liquid gasket applying diameter:

2.5±0.5 mm (0.0984±0.0197 in)

6. Tighten the generator bracket bolts in the numerical order as shown in the figure.

Tightening torque:

6.4 N·m (0.7 kgf-m, 4.7 ft-lb)

(1) — (6)

33 N·m (3.4 kgf-m, 24.3 ft-lb)

7. Install the water pipe and water hose to the rear of the cylinder head (LH) and the top of the cylinder block.

8. Install the common rail assembly.

9. Install the fuel pump.

10. Install the fuel pump gear.

11. Install the chain cover.

12. Attach the fuel delivery pipe and return pipe.

13. Install the rocker cover.

14. Attach the A/C compressor.

15. Install the generator.

16. Install the intake manifold.

17. Install the engine to the vehicle.
