MECHANICAL(H4DOTC DIESEL) > Cam Sprocket

INSTALLATION

1. Attach the cam sprocket to the camshaft.

NOTE:

Align the position using the camshaft knock pin and the stamp on the cam sprocket.

2. Attach the camshaft plate to the tip of the intake cam sprocket (RH).

3. Install the cam sprocket.

(1) Fasten the cam sprocket and install to the camshaft using ST.

ST1    18355AA000 PULLEY WRENCH
ST2    18334AA030 PULLEY WRENCH PIN SET

Tightening torque:

29.5 N·m (3.0 kgf-m, 21.8 ft-lb)

(2) Further tighten the bolts.

NOTE:

The illustration shows the intake cam sprocket (RH).

Tightening angle:

25°±5°

4. Install the timing chain.

5. Install the chain cover.

6. Attach the oil level gauge and oil level gauge guide to the chain cover.

7. Install the camshaft position sensor.

8. Install the vacuum pump.

9. Install the scavenger pump.

10. Install the crank pulley.

11. Install the V-belt tensioner.

12. Install the V-belts.

13. Install the catalytic converter and DPF.

14. Install the radiator.

15. Install the radiator main fan motor assembly.

16. Install the radiator sub fan motor assembly.

17. Install the air intake duct and hose.

18. Install the air intake boot.

19. Install the under cover.

20. Lower the vehicle.

21. Fill engine oil.

22. Fill engine coolant.

23. Connect the ground cable to battery.
