EXHAUST(H4DOTC DIESEL) > Catalytic Converter and DPF

INSTALLATION

1. Install the hanger bracket to the bracket.

Tightening torque:

37 N·m (3.8 kgf-m, 27.3 ft-lb)

2. Install the bracket to the cylinder head (LH).

Tightening torque:

30 N·m (3.1 kgf-m, 22.1 ft-lb)

3. Temporarily assemble the catalytic converter and DPF with the turbocharger and hanger bracket.

NOTE:

Use a new gasket.

4. Connect the catalytic converter and DPF with the turbocharger.

Tightening torque:

42.5 N·m (4.3 kgf-m, 31.3 ft-lb)

5. Install securing bolt to the hanger bracket.

Tightening torque:

35 N·m (3.6 kgf-m, 25.8 ft-lb)

6. Install the exhaust temperature sensor 1.

Tightening torque:

30 N·m (3.1 kgf-m, 22.1 ft-lb)

7. Install the engine ground (LH).

Tightening torque:

7.5 N·m (0.8 kgf-m, 5.5 ft-lb)

8. Connect the catalytic converter and DPF with the exhaust pipe (front).

NOTE:

Use a new gasket.

Tightening torque:

42.5 N·m (4.3 kgf-m, 31.3 ft-lb)

9. Connect the DPF pressure difference sensor hose.

10. Install the under cover.

11. Lower the vehicle.

12. Connect connectors of exhaust temperature sensor 1 and 2.

CAUTION:

Align the harness yellow markings, and be careful not to assemble wrong parts.

13. Insert the clip of exhaust temperature sensor 2 to the oil level gauge guide.

14. Install the air intake duct (rear).

15. Install the collector cover.

16. Connect the ground cable to battery.
