DTC P2146 FUEL INJECTOR POWER SUPPLY A OPEN CIRCUIT

DTC DETECTING CONDITION:

Immediately at fault recognition

TROUBLE SYMPTOM:

Engine stalls.

CAUTION:

After servicing or replacing faulty parts, perform Clear Memory Mode and Inspection Mode .

1.CHECK FOR ANY OTHER DTC ON DISPLAY.

Are DTCs other than P0201, P0202, P0203, P0204, P2146 and P2149 displayed?

Check the appropriate DTC using the “List of Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC)”.

2.CHECK HARNESS BETWEEN ECM AND ENGINE GROUND.

1) Turn the ignition switch to OFF.

2) Disconnect the connector from ECM.

3) Measure the resistance of harness between ECM connector and chassis ground.

Is the resistance less than 5 Ω?

Repair the harness and connector.

NOTE:

In this case, repair the following item:

• Open circuit of harness between ECM connector and engine ground

• Poor contact of coupling connector

3.CHECK HARNESS BETWEEN ECM AND FUEL INJECTOR CONNECTOR.

1) Disconnect the connectors from fuel injectors #1 and #2.

2) Measure the resistance of harness between ECM connector and fuel injector connector.

Is the resistance less than 1 Ω?

Repair the poor contact of the ECM connector or fuel injector connector.

Repair the harness and connector.

NOTE:

In this case, repair the following item:

• Open circuit in harness between ECM connector and fuel injector connector

• Poor contact of coupling connector
