DTC P1519 STARTER SW 2 SYSTEM CIRCUIT (OFF)

DTC DETECTING CONDITION:

Immediately at fault recognition

TROUBLE SYMPTOM:

Failure of engine to start

CAUTION:

After repairing or replacing the defective part, perform the Clear Memory Mode and Inspection Mode .

• RHD model

STEPCHECKYESNO

1.CHECK HARNESS BETWEEN ECM AND STARTER MOTOR.

1) Turn the ignition to OFF.

2) Disconnect the connectors from ECM and starter motor.

3) Measure the resistance of harness between ECM and starter motor.

Connector & terminal

(B135) No. 20 — (B14) No. 1:

Is the resistance less than 1 Ω?

Repair the open circuit in harness between ECM and starter motor.

2.CHECK HARNESS BETWEEN ECM AND STARTER MOTOR.

Measure the resistance between ECM and chassis ground.

Connector & terminal

(B135) No. 20 — Chassis ground:

Is the resistance 1 MΩ or more?

Repair the poor contact of the ECM connector.

Repair the short circuit to ground in harness between ECM and starter motor.
