DTC B2002 CAN-LS BD_WAKE OPEN OR BATTERY SHORT

DTC DETECTING CONDITION:

Communication circuits between the body integrated unit and gateway CM are shorted to the power supply circuit or ground circuit.

TROUBLE SYMPTOM:

The keyless access function does not operate.

WIRING DIAGRAM:

1.CHECK DTC.

Read gateway CM DTCs using the Subaru Select Monitor.

Is B2002 past malfunction?

Check the harness for an open or short circuit, and check the connection of the connectors.

2.CHECK CURRENT DATA.

1) Display the current data «BD Wake status» of the gateway CM using the Subaru Select Monitor.

2) Turn the ignition to ON and read the data.

Does the data display ON?

Repair or replace the short or open circuit of the harness.

3.CHECK BODY INTEGRATED UNIT.

1) Turn the ignition to ON.

2) Measure the voltage between gateway CM connector and chassis ground.

(B419) No. 15 (+) — Chassis ground (−):

Is the voltage 1.8 V or less?

Replace the body integrated unit.

4.CHECK DTC.

1) Using the Subaru Select Monitor, clear the memory.

2) Turn the ignition to ACC or ON, and then to OFF.

3) Close all doors, and wait for one minute or more until the vehicle enters sleep status. (Maintain in sleep status for approx. 30 seconds.)

4) Turn the ignition to ACC or ON, and read the DTC of the gateway CM using the Subaru Select Monitor.

Is B2002 detected?

Replace the body integrated unit.

5.CHECK DTC.

1) Using the Subaru Select Monitor, clear the memory.

2) Turn the ignition to ACC or ON, and then to OFF.

3) Close all doors, and wait for one minute or more until the vehicle enters sleep status. (Maintain in sleep status for approx. 30 seconds.)

4) Turn the ignition to ACC or ON, and read the DTC of the gateway CM using the Subaru Select Monitor.

Is B2002 detected?

Replace the gateway CM.

System is normal.
