DTC B2200 STEERING LOCK ECM NO RESPONSE

DTC DETECTING CONDITION:

Communication signal from the steering lock CM is paused for 10 seconds or more. (Output by collation CM.)

TROUBLE SYMPTOM:

The steering lock cannot be released.

WIRING DIAGRAM:

1.CHECK DTC.

Read all DTCs using the Subaru Select Monitor.

Are there DTCs other than B2201?

Perform diagnosis according to the DTC.

2.CHECK WIRING HARNESS.

1) Disconnect the steering lock CM connector and the collation CM connector.

2) Using a tester, check continuity between the steering lock CM connector and collation CM connector.

(B421) No. 10 — (B424) No. 5:

Is there continuity?

Repair or replace the open circuit of harness.

3.CHECK WIRING HARNESS.

Using a tester, check continuity between the steering lock CM connector and chassis ground.

Connector & terminal

(B424) No. 1 — Chassis ground:

Is there continuity?

Repair or replace the open circuit of harness.

4.CHECK WIRING HARNESS.

Using a tester, measure the voltage between the steering lock CM connector and chassis ground.

Connector & terminal

(B424) No. 1 (+) — Chassis ground (−):

Is the voltage 11 — 14 V?

Replace the fuse, or repair or replace the open circuit in the harness.

5.CHECK STEERING LOCK CM.

1) Replace the steering lock CM.

2) Register the steering lock CM. Refer to the “PC application help for Subaru Select Monitor”.

3) Perform memory clear.

4) Read the DTC code.

Is a DTC displayed?

Replace the collation CM.

System is normal.
