DTC B2100 PUSH START SW SIGNAL ABNORMAL

DTC DETECTING CONDITION:

Open or short in push button ignition switch circuit

TROUBLE SYMPTOM:

The power does not switch even when the push button ignition switch is pressed.

The engine does not start even when the push button ignition switch is pressed.

WIRING DIAGRAM:

1.CHECK PUSH BUTTON IGNITION SWITCH.

1) Connect the Subaru select Monitor, and display the current data {Push start SW1} of the power supply CM.

2) Repeatedly push and release the push button ignition switch.

Does the display of current data {Push start SW1} change?

2.CHECK PUSH BUTTON IGNITION SWITCH.

1) Display the current data {Push start SW2} of the power supply CM.

2) Repeatedly push and release the push button ignition switch.

Does the display of current data {Push start SW2} change?

Check the connection condition of harnesses and connectors that have a possibility of a temporary connection fault.

3.CHECK PUSH BUTTON IGNITION SWITCH.

1) Remove the push button ignition switch.

2) Perform individual inspection of the push button ignition switch.

Is the push button ignition switch working properly?

Replace the push button ignition switch.

4.CHECK HARNESS.

1) Disconnect the power supply CM connector (B420).

2) Check continuity between the power supply CM connector and the push button ignition switch connector using a tester.

Is there continuity?

Repair or replace the open circuit of harness.

5.CHECK HARNESS.

Check continuity between the power supply CM connector and the push button ignition switch connector using a tester.

(B420) No. 37 — Chassis ground:

Is there continuity?

Repair or replace the short circuit of the harness.

Replace the power supply CM.
