DTC B2112 LOCAL COMMUNICATION BETWEEN COLLATED ECMS IS ABNORMAL

DTC DETECTING CONDITION:

Detected when the communication circuit between ECMs is open or shorted, or when the communication from the collation CM is interrupted for a set amount of time.

TROUBLE SYMPTOM:

Cannot turn the accessory or ignition ON, and engine cannot be started.

1.CHECK DTC.

Read all DTCs using the Subaru Select Monitor.

Are there DTCs other than B2112?

Perform the diagnosis according to those other DTCs.

2.CHECK WIRING HARNESS.

1) Disconnect the power supply CM connector and collation CM connector.

2) Using a tester, check continuity between the power supply CM connector and collation CM connector.

(B420) No. 30 — (B421) No. 10:

Is there continuity?

Repair or replace the open circuit of harness.

3.CHECK WIRING HARNESS.

Using a tester, check continuity between the power supply CM connector and chassis ground.

Connector & terminal

(B420) No. 30 — Chassis ground:

Is there no continuity?

Repair or replace the short circuit of the harness.

4.CHECK DTC.

Confirm the DTC that was read first.

Was the DTC a trouble in the past?

System is normal.

Replace the power supply CM.
