FRONT SUSPENSION > Front Strut

INSTALLATION

1. Install the strut mount at upper side of strut to the body, and tighten it with new nuts.

Tightening torque:

20 N·m (2.0 kgf-m, 14.5 ft-lb)

2. Align to the alignment marks on the camber adjusting bolt and strut bottom. Using new self-locking nuts, install the strut to the housing.

NOTE:

While holding the head of adjusting bolt, tighten the self-locking nut.

Tightening torque:

175 N·m (17.8 kgf-m, 129 ft-lb)

3. Secure the ABS wheel speed sensor harness to the strut.

Tightening torque:

33 N·m (3.4 kgf-m, 25 ft-lb)

4. Install the bolts which secure the brake hose to the strut.

Tightening torque:

33 N·m (3.4 kgf-m, 25 ft-lb)

5. Attach the front vehicle height sensor bracket to the front cross member using bolts and clips. (HID model, right side only)

Tightening torque:

7.5 N·m (0.8 kgf-m, 5.5 ft-lb)

6. Attach the front vehicle height sensor bracket to the front transverse link. (HID model, right side only)

Tightening torque:

7.5 N·m (0.8 kgf-m, 5.5 ft-lb)

7. Connect the connector to the front vehicle height sensor. (HID model, right side only)

8. Install the front wheels.

9. Connect the battery ground cable to the battery.

10. Inspect the wheel alignment and adjust if necessary.

11. Re-initialize the auto headlight beam leveler system. (Model with HID)
